課程概述 |
1. 本課程為「中級三」程度，適合修過此國際生華語「中級二」課程者，或至少學過 600 小時（每週至少 6 小時）華語者選修。使用的教材為《遠東生活華語三》，內容包括商業經濟、投資理財、社會文化等三大層面，盼學生能兼顧聽說讀寫的能力，並學習生活語言以外的常用詞彙與文法，以得體地使用華語與人討論較為專業的話題，並透過課程進一步了華人習慣及台灣文化。
This course is aimed at those who have taken Intermediate Ⅱ of the NTU Chinese Language Course or those who have taken Chinese for at least 600 hrs. (6hrs/week). This course uses the textbook “Far East Daily Chinese III” to help students develop proficient language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing that would enable them to communicate effectively in their daily lives. Students will learn commonly used new vocabularies and grammar that are not often used in daily conversations. Through the course, students will be able to use appropriate Chinese language to carry on discussions to further understand Chinese culture and language.

課程目標 |
學生的聽說讀寫能力均達到各單元之要求，能與人討論投資理財、金融危機、社會文化等較複雜的主題，並能靈活運用口語與書面用語。
1. Develop proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing to deal with complex situations within daily lives, and discuss about complex issues, such as economy, investment, social culture, etc. with people.
2. Use correct form of the words in their oral and written language production.

課程要求 |
(1) 上課不可無故遲到或早退。遲到或早退超過二十分鐘，視同缺席一小時。
Attend the class on time. Arriving more than 20 minutes late or leaving 20 minutes early will be counted as a one-hour absence.
(2) 每次上課皆須攜帶課本、講義。
Bring all the materials you are supposed to use when you come to class.
(3)上課應積極參與課堂討論，不應從事與課程無關的活動。
It is essential to participate in classroom activities and class discussion. You should not write homework or do other things unrelated to the course during class time.
(4)上課請說中文，不說其他非中文語言。
Chinese is the language of the classroom. You must speak Chinese at all times.
(5)上課可以喝飲料，但不能吃東西。
Water and soft drinks are allowed, but no food is allowed in class.
(6)上課期間請將手機轉為震動或靜音。
Phones must be set on silent mode during class time. |

出席 Attendance |
15% |
(1) 上課不可無故遲到或早退。遲到或早退超過二十分鐘，視同缺席一小時。
Attend the class on time. Arriving more than 20 minutes late or leaving 20 minutes early will be counted as a one-hour absence.
(2) 若因故無法出席，應在上課前寫E-mail向老師請假。每學期至多可缺席九個小時（含遲到及早退），不扣分。超過九個小時，每小時扣出席成績1分。
Notify the instructor in advance if you are unable to attend class. Students are allowed a maximum of 9 hours excused absence (including late-coming and early-leaving). From the 10th hour on, one point will be deducted for each hour of absence.
(3) 缺課的人，應在下次上課前詢問同學當天上課的內容，以及作業和小考的範圍。
If you miss a class, you should ask a classmate about what has been taught that day, what the assignment is and what is going to be covered on the dictation quiz.

課堂表現及參與 Performance & Participation |

作業 Homework |
15% |
(1) 應準時繳交作業，遲交該份作業成績扣10分，且應在一周內補交，超過規定時間視同未交。
All assignments must be handed in on time. 10 points will be deducted for late homework. Assignments not received within one week past the due date will receive a grade of zero.
(2) 若請假，則應提前繳交作業或請同學代交，否則視同未交。You should hand in your homework early (before the deadline) or ask a classmate to hand in your homework for you if you will be absent on the day it is due. |

平時測驗與小考 Quizzes and Review Tests |
15% |
(1) 從第二次上課開始，每次上課（期中考及期末考除外）都有聽寫小考。上課鐘響就考試，遲到、請假或缺席者不補考。聽寫成績中，最差的五次分數將不予計算。
A dictation quiz will be given at the start of every class (except when taking the mid-term and final exams). No make-up quiz will be provided. The lowest 5 quiz scores will be dropped.
(2) 每上完兩課會安排一次複習考試，考試內容為筆試（含聽力測驗）。因故無法參加考試者，須在一周內補考。
A review test will be given at the end of every two lessons. If a student misses a test for a legitimate reason, the student should take the make-up test within one week of the original exam date.
(3) 如有作弊行為，當次考試以零分計算。
Any student who is caught cheating will receive a grade of zero on the test.
(4) 每位學生須上台做一次口頭報告（七分鐘），報告分數作為一次平時測驗成績。
Students are required to give a 7-minute oral presentation to class over the semester. The presentation will be counted as a 100-point test. |

期中考 Midterm Exam |

(1) 包括筆試（含聽力測驗）及口試。
The exam consists of listening comprehension, a written test and an oral test.
(2) 期中考將於指定日期舉行，不能補考。若因不可避免的因素無法參加考試，須提前告知老師並擇期補考，否則將以零分計算。
The midterm exam will be given only on the assigned days. There will be no make-up exam unless there are absolutely unavoidable circumstances such as serious illness, or a death in the family. If you are unable to attend the exam due to circumstances beyond your control, you must notify the teacher in advance and request an alternative exam time or date. |

期末考 Final Exam |

(1) 包括筆試（含聽力測驗）及個人口頭報告。
